We are delivering a series of five Child Exploitation Online Protection lunchtime learning sessions:


Session 1: Introduction to Children and Young People Online – Wednesday 26 April 2023

Session 2: Introduction to Online Child Sexual Abuse – Wednesday 5 July 2023

Session 3: Nude Image Sharing/Sexting – Friday 15 September 2023

Session 4: Introduction to Live Streaming – Friday 1 December 2023

Session 5: Introduction to the Dark Web – Wednesday 7 February 2024

Aims of this session (3):

This training session aims to help professionals identify the difference between consensual and non-consensual nude image sharing, how to help prevent non-consensual sharing of images and use the UK Council for Internet Safety’s guidance to help them deal with incidents within their setting. The session will also outline the issue of victim-blaming in the context of nude image sharing and ways to challenge this with children and young people, and professionals.


The training session will cover the following:

  • What is consensual nude and semi-nude image sharing
  • Why children and young people might share nudes and semi-nudes
  • The law around nude image sharing
  • What is non-consensual nude image sharing
  • What is the impact of non-consensual nude image sharing
  • Helping to prevent non-consensual sharing of images through education
  • Responding to incidents within education settings
