This course is available for people working with children and families in Staffordshire. For those working with children and families outside of Staffordshire please contact your local Safeguarding Children Board.
Introduction to internet safety and the darknet including perpetrators.
The course will include:
- Definition of the Dark Web, Deep Web and Open Web
- How the Dark Web can be accessed – What is TOR
- The reasons why a young person might want to access the Dark Web
- Identifying the risks associated with going on the Dark Web
- What to do if a young person has accessed the Dark Web
- Introduction to a Internet Perpetrator
