This course is available for people working with children and families in Stoke-on-Trent. For those working with children and families outside of Stoke-on-Trent, please contact your local Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Participants must have undertaken Level 1 Child Protection training before attending this course.

 

TRAINING COST:

The cost to attend this Level 3 course is:

• £50 per person
  (With the exception of the three statutory safeguarding partners (Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Health and Staffordshire Police), voluntary, faith, charitable and community interest company organisations).

 

Learning Outcomes.

By the end of this course, participants will:

• Develop an enhanced awareness and understanding of culture.
• Examine culture through not only the prism of ethnicity, but also social class, disability and environment.
• Improve understanding of relationship between legislation and practice.
• Examine the critical relationship between cultural sympathies and legal enforcement.
