This course is available for people working with children and families in Stoke-on-Trent. For those working with children and families outside of Stoke-on-Trent, please contact your local Safeguarding Children Partnership.

 

Participants must have undertaken Level 1 Child Protection training before attending this course.

 

This course will update your Level 2 certificate to continue to be the Designated/Deputy Safeguarding Lead in your organisation for another 2 years.

 

TRAINING COST: This training is FREE for all agencies (however, cancellation of bookings must be received two weeks prior to the course date, cancellations after this time or non-attendances on the day will incur a £50 charge) 

 

COURSE OUTLINE:

  • To understand the different types of harm outside of the home.
  • To be able to respond to signs of Child Exploitation.
  • To recognise the importance of multi-ageny working together.
  • How to respond if you're worried that a child may be exploited.
  • Building confidence in Information Sharing.
  • Understand the partnership approach, and individual roles and responsibilities.
  • Understand how Child Exploitation fits in the roles.
  • Professional Curiosity - looking beyond.
  • The ability to apply theory and practice.
