Detail:

This course is available for people working with children and families in Stoke-on-Trent. For those working with children and families outside of Stoke-on-Trent, please contact your local Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Participants must have undertaken Level 1 Child Protection training before attending this course.

This course will update your Level 2 certificate to continue to be the Designated/Deputy Safeguarding Lead in your organisation for another 2 years.

 

TRAINING COST:

The cost to attend this Level 3 course is:

  • £50 per person
    (With the exception of the three statutory safeguarding partners (Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Health and Staffordshire Police), voluntary, faith, charitable and community interest company organisations).

 

Aims & Objectives

  • Have increased their awareness of Mental Health
  • Be able to differentiate between mental illness and mental distress
  • Be aware of how parental mental ill health can impact on a developing child
  • Be aware of services available to support children and families living with parental mental ill health
